Axle Shafts: Removal

Remove wheel/tire assembly. Remove wheel hub retainer nut, and discard. Remove the brake hose clip. Remove pinch bolt and nut. Separate lower ball joint from knuckle. Using Front Hub Remover (205-D07, D93P-1175-B), separate axle shaft from knuckle. See Fig 1 . Using Slide Hammer (100-001, T50T-100-A) and Front Drive Axle Shaft Remover (205-241, T86P-3514-A), remove the axle shaft from the transaxle. See Fig 2 .
