Removal and Installation

  1. Disconnect the battery. For additional information, refer to BATTERY, MOUNTING AND CABLES .
  2. Remove the door trim panel. For additional information, refer to INTERIOR TRIM AND ORNAMENTATION .
  3. Position the watershield aside.
  4. Disconnect the latch lever from the door lock cylinder.
    1. Remove the E-clip.
    2. Disconnect the latch lever.

    5. NOTE: The driver door disarm switch can be installed in more than one position. Before removing the switch from the lock cylinder it may be necessary to mark the position of the switch in relation to the door lock cylinder.
  5. Remove the driver door disarm switch.
    • Disconnect electrical connector.
    6. NOTE: The driver door disarm switch can be installed in more than one position. Use the reference marks applied in the removal procedure to index the new driver door disarm switch to the door lock cylinder.
  6. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
