Floor Duct: Installation

NOTE: Tightening torque of RCM retaining bolts is critical for correct system operation. See Figure.
  1. Install electronic blend door motor. Connect motor shaft. Install screws. Connect connector. Install floor duct. Install floor duct. Install 2 screws (one each side). On vehicles equipped with rear airflow duct, zip-tie rear airflow duct to floor duct. See Fig 1. Reposition carpet.
  2. On all vehicles, install RCM and bracket assembly. Connect RCM electrical connector. Install left instrument panel lower nut. Install brace. Install nut. Install bolt. Install right instrument panel brace. See Fig 2.
  3. Install floor duct panel. Install pin-type retainers and release expander clip. On vehicles equipped with floor console, install floor console. On all vehicles, connect battery ground cable.
