Component Replacement Activation Procedure (Seats Installed)

- Disconnect negative battery cable. Wait at least one minute for back-up power supply to deplete stored energy. Remove air bag simulators from left and right front seat belt pretensioner harness connectors and reconnect connectors. Install left and right B-pillar trim panels, assist handles and weatherstrip. Install left and right seat belt guides and mounting nuts. Tighten seat belt guide nuts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . Close seat belt guide covers. Install left and right door scuff plates.
- Remove air bag simulators from left and right side air bag harness connectors and reconnect connectors. Connect negative battery cable. Move and tilt front seats to their lowest and most rearward position. Disconnect negative battery cable. Wait at least one minute for back-up power supply to deplete stored energy. Remove air bag simulator from passenger-side air bag harness connector and reconnect connectors. Install instrument panel relay cover.
- Remove air bag simulator from lower clockspring harness connector and reconnect connectors. Install lower instrument panel steering column cover, parking brake and hood release handles. Install central junction block cover. Install upper steering column cover. Connect negative battery cable. Perform system operation check. See SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK . Reprogram pre-set radio frequencies and set clock.
