Test L: Left Side Crash Sensor Mounting Failure (DTC B2441): Description

Left side crash sensor monitors severity of crash event. If crash is severe enough, sensor will signal RCM to deploy left side air bag module. RCM monitors left side crash sensor circuit loop for signal that is out of range. If RCM detects signal that is out of range, indicating sensor mounting failure, it will store Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) B2441 in memory and flash Code 42 on AIR BAG warning light.
