Side Crash Sensors

The side crash sensors are located beneath carpet, under left and right front seats. The side crash sensor monitors the severity of a lateral crash event. If the crash event is severe enough, the side crash sensor signals Restraints Control Module (RCM) to deploy the appropriate side air bag module.
