Removal and Installation

  1. Remove the liftgate trim panel. For additional information, refer to INTERIOR TRIM AND ORNAMENTATION .
  2. Disconnect the liftgate latch electrical connectors.
  3. Disconnect the liftgate latch release cable.
  4. Remove the 3 bolts and the liftgate latch.
    • To install, tighten to 12 Nm (9 lb-ft).
  5. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
