Seat Belt PRETENSIONER: Removal

- Before proceeding, see AIR BAG SAFETY PRECAUTIONS . Ensure front wheels are in straight-ahead position. Disable air bag system. See DISABLING SYSTEM under DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM.
- Remove B-pillar trim insert and guide seat belt through trim. Pull out pin-type retainers and remove web-guide. Using Seat Belt Bit (510-010), remove lower seat belt anchor bolt and seat belt pretensioner mounting bolt. See Figure . Pivot seat belt retractor upward to disengage locating tab, and remove retractor/pretensioner assembly.
