Removal (3.0L Windstar)

  1. Disconnect negative battery cable. Remove air cleaner duct hose. Partially drain engine coolant system. Relieve fuel system pressure. See FUEL SYSTEM PRESSURE RELEASE . Remove cowl assembly. Position wire harness aside. Disconnect fuel lines, vacuum hoses and electrical connectors. Disconnect accelerator and speed control cables. Remove throttle body. Position differential pressure feedback sensor aside.
  2. Remove EGR tube. Disconnect PCV hose. Remove generator support brace. Remove 6 upper intake manifold assembly bolts. Remove upper intake manifold assembly and gasket.
