CAUTION: All driveshaft assemblies are balanced. If undercoating the vehicle, protect the driveshaft to prevent overspray of any undercoating material.

The driveshaft transfers torque from the engine, through the transmission to the power take off (PTO) unit, then to the active on-demand coupling, which regulates torque to the ring and pinion and finally through the rear halfshafts to the rear wheels. The driveshaft has the following features:
