Output Shaft Seal: Installation

    CAUTION: Make sure the output shaft seal, the output shaft seal bore and the output shaft are clean and dry. Do not apply any lubricant to the outer diameter of the output shaft seal or leakage will occur.
    NOTE: Always install a new output shaft seal.

  1. Using the special tool, install the new output shaft seal.
  2. NOTE: For a fluid leak or seep condition, install a new vent cap and filter.
  3. Install a new vent cap and filter.
  4. Install the output flange. For additional information, refer to OUTPUT FLANGE .
