Window Glass - Rear: Removal

WARNING: To prevent glass splinters from entering eyes or cutting hands, wear safety glasses and heavy gloves when cutting glass from the vehicle.

Remove the C-pillar trim panel and parcel shelf, and lower the headliner. For additional information, refer to INTERIOR TRIM AND ORNAMENTATION .
Disconnect the 2 rear window defrost electrical connectors.

NOTE: Lubricate the existing urethane adhesive with water to aid the special tool while cutting.

Using the special tool, place the flat side of the knife against the rear window glass window. Start cutting the glass at the top and work toward the corners.
Using the special tool, distance the rear window glass from the body.

Using the special tool, cut the remaining urethane adhesive and remove the window glass.
Using a soft brush or vacuum, remove any dirt or foreign material from the pinch weld.
