Window Glass - Rear: Removal

WARNING:
To prevent glass splinters from entering eyes or cutting hands, wear safety glasses and heavy gloves when cutting glass from the vehicle.
- Remove the C-pillar trim panel and parcel shelf, and lower the headliner. For additional information, refer to INTERIOR TRIM AND ORNAMENTATION .
- Disconnect the 2 rear window defrost electrical connectors.
- Using the special tool, place the flat side of the knife against the rear window glass window. Start cutting the glass at the top and work toward the corners.
- Using the special tool, distance the rear window glass from the body.
- Using the special tool, cut the remaining urethane adhesive and remove the window glass.
- Using a soft brush or vacuum, remove any dirt or foreign material from the pinch weld.
NOTE:
Lubricate the existing urethane adhesive with water to aid the special tool while cutting.
