Passenger-Side Air Bag Module: Installation

  1. To install, reverse removal procedure. Use 6 NEW offset fasteners on air bag module door. Tighten passenger-side air bag module retaining nuts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . Remove air bag simulator from passenger-side air bag harness connector and reconnect connectors.
  2. Reconnect battery(s). With air bag simulators installed on all remaining deployable devices, perform system operation check. See SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK . Activate air bag system. See ACTIVATING SYSTEM  under DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM.
