Section 106 (Supplemental Inflatable Restraint System - F150 Pickup): Adjustments: Notes

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 Ford Pickup. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
WARNING: Operating vehicle with improperly centered clockspring may damage clockspring, and in the event of collision, cause air bag deployment malfunction. Personal injury may result. If clockspring rotor has moved or if unsure of rotor position, perform clockspring centering procedure.
CAUTION: Over-rotating clockspring rotor can cause damage. Damage to clockspring may result. Internal ribbon wire acts as a stop, and if over-rotated, can be broken from its internal connection. When slight resistance is felt during rotation, internal ribbon wire is at end of travel.
