Removal and Installation

WARNING:
All safety belt assemblies including retractors, belt tension sensor (BTS), if equipped, buckles, front seat belt buckle support assemblies (slide bar), shoulder belt height adjusters (if so equipped), child safety seat tether attachments and attaching hardware should be inspected after any collision. All new belt assemblies should be installed unless a qualified technician finds the assemblies show no damage and operate correctly. Belt assemblies not in use during a collision should also be inspected and new assemblies installed if either damage or incorrect operation is noted.
- To access the tether anchors, remove the rear seat backrest. For additional information, REFER to SEATING .
- Remove the back of cab panel insulator.
- Remove the push-pins and release the retaining clips.
- Remove the back of cab panel insulator.
- Remove the tether anchor bolt(s) and tether anchor(s).
- To install, tighten to 30 Nm (22 lb-ft).
- To install, reverse the removal procedure.
