Elevation System Check

  1. Check the parking aid system to make sure that the system does not see signals caused by ground reflections.

  2. The following system check should be carried out with the vehicle on a 3.0 meters wide by 4.5 meters deep (10 feet wide by 15 feet deep) smooth concrete surface, free of all obstacles and noise from fan and pneumatic tools.
  3. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position, engine off.
  4. Set the parking brake on.
  5. Place the transmission in REVERSE.
  6. NOTE: No audible alerts should be heard. If audible alerts are heard, check to make sure the bumper is correctly installed and is not tilted downward so that the sensor is pointing at the ground.
  7. Verify that no audible alerts are heard.
