The audio unit/tape player display is blank - the audio unit/tape player operates	Audio unit	REMOVE the audio unit. REFER to AUDIO UNIT . SEND the audio unit to an authorized repair facility. TEST the system for normal operation after the repair.
The cassette player only is inoperative	Audio unit	REMOVE the audio unit. REFER to AUDIO UNIT . SEND the audio unit to an authorized repair facility. TEST the system for normal operation after the repair.
During CD mode, the audio unit display shows: NO CD	No CD found	NOTE: NO CD is displayed when a CD is not found in a slot. REFER to the owner literature for more information on CD operation.
One or more audio control buttons (such as volume, seek, tune and scan) is not functional in either radio, tape mode or all modes - audio unit display functions correctly	Audio unit	REMOVE the audio unit. REFER to AUDIO UNIT . SEND the audio unit to an authorized repair facility. TEST the system for normal operation after the repair.

	Audio unit	If the speakers are inoperative when in tuner mode and when using the DVD player, GO to PINPOINT TEST C .
No sound from the wireless headphones	DUAL PLAY not selected Batteries in the headphones Headphones Digital versatile disc (DVD) player	SIMULTANEOUSLY PRESS the audio unit preset buttons 2 and 4 until the audio unit displays DUAL PLAY. REPEATEDLY PRESS the SRC/PWR button on the DVD player and adjust the headphone volume until a source can be heard. If no source can be heard, SUBSTITUTE a known good pair of batteries and then the wireless headphones. REPEAT the above action. If a source can be heard, NOTIFY the customer. The system is operating correctly. NOTE: When the DVD player is unplugged and not replaced, the rear speakers are not connected. If there is still no sound, REMOVE the DVD player. REFER to VIDEO SYSTEM . SEND the DVD player to an authorized repair facility. TEST the system for normal operation after the repair.
Intermittent sound from the wireless headphones	Obstructions between the digital versatile disc (DVD) player transmitter and the headphones Sunlight washout	Infrared technology is line-of-sight dependent. CLEAR all possible obstructions. TEST the system for normal operation. Infrared technology is subject to a reduction in effectiveness given extreme exposure to sunlight. If excessive sunlight exposure is suspected, MOVE the vehicle to a shaded or darkened area. TEST the system for normal operation. To verify the condition, RETURN the vehicle to sunlit conditions and RETEST.
