Driver-Side Air Bag Module: Removal

Before proceeding, see AIR BAG SAFETY PRECAUTIONS . Disable air bag system. See DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM . Remove left and right air bag module bolt access covers from rear of steering wheel. Remove steering wheel bottom access cover and disconnect air bag module connector. Remove and discard 2 air bag module retaining bolts. Pull air bag module away from steering wheel and disconnect horn switch connector. Remove air bag module.
