Disassembly and Assembly

- Remove the rear seat backrest. For additional information, refer to SEAT - REAR .
- Remove the head restraints (one shown).
- Push the 2 release tabs and remove the head restraint.
- Push the release tabs and pull the head restraint sleeves out of the frame tube (trim cover and foam pad removed for clarity).
- Release the backrest J-clips.
- Separate the hook and loop fasteners.
- Remove the hog rings. Remove the seat trim cover and the backrest foam pad.
- Push the release tabs and remove the 3 backrest plastic lock clips (one shown).
- To assemble, reverse the disassembly procedure.
NOTE:
The inboard and outboard head restraint sleeves are not interchangeable.
NOTE:
If necessary, install new head restraint sleeves.
CAUTION:
Use care when separating the seat upholstery from the hook and loop strip, or the hook and loop strip can be torn from the seat backrest foam pad.
NOTE:
If necessary, install new plastic lock clips.
