Normal Operation
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2005 Ford Pickup. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
Vehicles equipped with an optional manual transmission have an additional clutch pedal position (CPP) switch. The CPP switch, normally closed, supplies a ground signal to the PCM through circuit 306 (RD/LG). When the clutch pedal is pressed, the CPP switch moves to the open position causing the PCM to loose a ground signal and deactivate the speed control.
