Selector Lever Cable - Column Shift: Removal

- With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to JACKING & LIFTING .
- Disconnect the shift cable from the transmission.
- Disconnect the cable from the manual lever.
- Disconnect the cable from the cable bracket.
- Remove the selector lever cable from the routing clip.
- Remove the 2 screws and the lower dash panel.
- Disconnect the shift cable from the steering column.
- Disconnect the shift cable from the transmission selector lever arm and support.
- Disconnect the shift cable from the steering column bracket.
- Remove and discard the shift cable retainer.
- Use a suitable tool to push the rubber grommet through the bulkhead.
- From the passenger compartment, remove the shift cable from the vehicle.
