Removal and Installation

  1. Disconnect the battery ground cable. For additional information, refer to BATTERY, MOUNTING AND CABLES .
  2. Disconnect the positive crankcase ventilation (PCV) valve electrical connector.
  3. Disconnect the quick connect couplings and remove the PCV tube. For additional information, refer to FUEL SYSTEM-GENERAL INFORMATION .
  4. NOTE: Anytime the PCV valve is removed, a new PCV valve must be installed.
  5. Rotate the PCV valve counterclockwise and remove the PCV valve.
    • Discard the PCV valve.
  6. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
