Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) System Module - 4.6L (2V): Removal

  1. Disconnect the battery ground cable. For additional information, refer to BATTERY, MOUNTING AND CABLES .
  2. Position the brake booster vacuum hose and bracket aside.
    1. Remove the nut.
    2. Disconnect the brake booster vacuum hose.
    3. Position the brake booster vacuum hose and bracket aside.

  3. Disconnect the exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) system module electrical connector.
  4. Disconnect the EGR system module vacuum connector.
  5. Disconnect the exhaust manifold-to-EGR system module tube from the EGR system module.
  6. Remove the bolt, the stud bolt, the EGR system module and the gasket. Discard the gasket.
