Removal and Installation

  1. Relieve the parking brake cable tension. For additional information, refer to PARKING BRAKE CABLE TENSION RELEASE .
  2. Release the intermediate cable from the LH rear cable from the cable equalizer.
  3. Remove and discard the double cable clamp.
  4. Remove the RH parking brake bracket bolt.
    • To install, tighten to 30 Nm (22 lb-ft).
  5. Disconnect the RH rear parking brake cable from the rear parking brake levers and remove the cable from the vehicle.
  6. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
    • Inspect the parking brake system for correct operation.
