Fuel Tank Draining

30 Gallon Hand-Operated Fuel Tanker 034-00002 or equivalent
WARNING: Do not smoke or carry lighted tobacco or have open flame of any type when working on or near any fuel-related component. Highly flammable mixtures are always present and may be ignited. Failure to follow these instructions may result in personal injury.
  1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to JACKING & LIFTING .
  2. Disconnect the battery ground cable. For additional information, refer to BATTERY, MOUNTING AND CABLES .
  3. Disconnect the fuel tank filler pipe from the fuel tank.
    • To install, tighten to 5 Nm (44 lb-in).

  4. NOTE: Follow the operating instructions supplied by the equipment manufacturer.

  5. Attach the fuel draining hose to the storage tanker and insert the hose through the disconnected filler pipe hose. Pump the fuel into the fuel storage tank.
