DTC C1095: Pump Motor Circuit Failure
- Turn ignition on. If ABS pump/motor operates constantly, replace Hydraulic Control Unit (HCU). If ABS pump/motor does not operate, go to next step.
- Check fuse No. 15 (60-amp) in battery junction box. If fuse is okay, go to next step. If fuse is blown, replace fuse. Clear DTCs. Repeat self-test. If fuse blows again, check for short to ground in Red/Yellow wire. Clear DTCs. Repeat self-test.
- On Contour and Mystique, turn ignition off. Disconnect ABS control module connector. Measure voltage between ABS control module connector terminal No. 13 (Red wire) and ground. If voltage is greater than 10 volts, go to next step. If voltage is less than 10 volts, repair Red wire between ABS control module and engine compartment fuse box.
- On Cougar, turn ignition off. Disconnect ABS control module connector. Measure voltage between ABS control module connector terminal No. 13 (Red/Yellow wire) and ground. If voltage is greater than 10 volts, go to next step. If voltage is less than 10 volts, repair Red/Yellow wire between ABS control module and engine compartment fuse box.
- On all models, measure resistance between ABS control module connector terminal No. 12 (Black wire) and ground. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, replace Hydraulic Control Unit (HCU). Repeat self-test. If resistance is greater than 5 ohms, repair Black wire between ABS control module and ground connection. Repeat self-test.
