Test B: Excessive Wind Noise

  1. Cycle moon roof from fully open position to fully closed position. Fully closed moon roof recommended tolerance is 0.04" (1.0 mm) at front and rear edges of glass panel. If moon roof is not within specification, adjust moon roof glass panel. See MOON ROOF HEIGHT/ALIGNMENT  under ADJUSTMENTS. If moon roof is within specification, go to next step.
  2. Open moon roof for access. Inspect moon roof seal for cracks and correct fitting. If moon roof seal is in good condition and fitted correctly, go to next step. If moon roof seal is cracked and/or fitted incorrectly, replace moon roof seal or install existing moon roof seal correctly.
  3. Check gap between moon roof panel seal and roof panel. If gap is greater than 0.001" (0.25 mm), replace seal. If gap is less than 0.001" (0.25mm), verify customer complaint.
