Removal & Installation (Contour)

- Raise and support vehicle. Close quarter turn valve. Partially lower vehicle. Start and run engine with ALT/GAS switch is in ALT position until engine stalls or automatically switches to GAS mode. Disconnect negative battery cable. Raise vehicle again. Remove compuvalve shield.
- Slowly crack open pressure regulator Gyrolok fitting and allow any trapped gas to escape. Clamp coolant hoses closed and disconnect from pressure regulator. Disconnect low-pressure fuel line. Remove and discard copper washer(s) and disconnect fuel lines from fuel pressure regulator.
- Disconnect Fuel Tank Pressure (FTP) sensor electrical connector. Remove fuel pressure regulator. To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten Gyrolok fitting until snug, then tighten an additional 1/2 turn. Pressurize CNG system and inspect fittings for leaks.
