Contour (Fuel Tank Evacuation)

NOTE: The following procedure must be used when removing CNG fuel cylinder. Evacuating the CNG gas should be done using a vent stack. A vent stack must be approved by your local authorities.
  1. Release CNG system fuel line pressure. See CONTOUR (FUEL LINE VENTING) . Ground the vehicle and CNG system by attaching Grounding Cable (134-00121) between a ground rod and a high-pressure fitting or solenoid valve. Disconnect CNG fuel line fitting to the quarter turn valve from the coalescent filter.
  2. Using Rotunda Fuel Filler Neck Venting Kit (134-00117) and Venting Hose (134-00118), connect the vehicle to the venting station. Attach adapter to the open port of quarter turn valve. Attach elbow of vent hose assembly to adapter. Attach quick release fitting on hose from venting station to the fitting on the vent hose. Close the quarter turn valve and partially lower vehicle.
  3. Open manual shutoff (bleed) valve. Raise vehicle again. Open the quarter turn valve and open valve at the venting station. When the fuel cylinder is empty, close the quarter turn valve. Remove vent hose and adapter and reinstall CNG fuel line fitting. Lower the vehicle and place manual shutoff on solenoid valve to normal operating position.
