Thermostat - 4.2L: Removal

  1. Drain the cooling system. For additional information, refer to COOLING SYSTEM DRAINING, FILLING AND BLEEDING .
  2. Release the clamp and disconnect the upper radiator hose from the coolant outlet connection.
  3. Remove the bolts and the coolant outlet connection.
  4. Remove the gasket and the thermostat.
