Engine Mount - RH

    All vehicles 

  1. Remove the radiator. For additional information, refer to ENGINE COOLING .
  2. Remove the cooling fan stator. For additional information, refer to ENGINE COOLING .
  3. Disconnect the LH and RH battery ground cables. For additional information, refer to BATTERY, MOUNTING AND CABLES .
  4. Loosen the clamp at the charge-air-cooler (CAC).

    5. NOTE: If there is any oil residue, clean both connecting ports and the inside surface of the charge air cooler duct to prevent the duct from blowing off.

  5. Loosen the clamp at the turbocharger and remove the CAC duct.
    6. NOTE: If there is any oil residue, clean both connecting ports and the inside surface of the charge air cooler duct to prevent the duct from blowing off.

  6. Loosen the clamp and disconnect the CAC duct at the engine.
  7. Loosen the clamp and remove the CAC duct.

  8. Remove the RH and the LH motor mount nuts.
  9. Remove the bracket-to-engine bolt.

    10. Vehicles with dual generator 

  10. Remove the accessory drive belt.

  11. Remove the bolt and the accessory drive belt tensioner.

  12. Remove the accessory drive belt.

  13. Remove the bolts, bracket and the accessory drive belt idler pulley.

  14. Remove the bolts and the accessory drive belt tensioner.

  15. Disconnect the wire retainer, generator electrical connector and B+ wire.

  16. Remove the bolts and generator with mounting bracket.

    17. Vehicles with single generator 

  17. Remove the primary accessory drive belt.

  18. Remove the bolts and the accessory drive belt tensioner.

    19. All vehicles 

  19. Remove the bolts and position the generator back.

  20. Support the hood and disconnect the hood lift assemblies.

  21. Install two lifting eyes on the RH cylinder head.

  22. Remove the retaining bolts for the fuel lines.

  23. Disconnect the heater hose at the front cover.

  24. Install one lifting eye on the LH cylinder head.

    25. CAUTION: Do not use the special tool to raise the engine. Damage to the special tool or vehicle may occur.
    NOTE: The ball studs may have to be removed.
    NOTE: This procedure requires a second bolt hook assembly. The tools are available through Rotunda Tools with the following numbers: bolt hook 303-F070-6, handle 303-F070-8, bracket 303-F070-7 and washer 303-F070-12004.

  25. Install the special tool.
    26. NOTE: The engine must be raised evenly.
  26. Using a lifting crane, raise the engine until the turbocharger is almost touching the cowl. Secure the engine with the special tool.
  27. Remove the nut and position the battery cable and bracket aside.

  28. Remove the stud bolt and position the battery cable aside.

  29. Remove the four motor mount bolts.

  30. Remove the bracket-to-engine bolts. Remove the bracket and the motor mount.
  31. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
