Rear Window Glass: Removal

    Regular and Crew Cab vehicles 

  1. Remove the rear trim panels. For additional information, refer to INTERIOR TRIM AND ORNAMENTATION .
  2. SuperCab vehicles 

  3. Remove the child safety seat tether anchors. For additional information, refer to SAFETY BELT SYSTEM .
  4. Remove the rear corner trim panels. For additional information, refer to INTERIOR TRIM AND ORNAMENTATION .
  5. Vehicles with power sliding window 

    NOTE: The power sliding window should be partially open to carry out this procedure.
    NOTE: Left side shown, right side similar.
    NOTE: The right side must have the trough cover removed prior to carrying out this step.

  6. Remove the left transition block and rubber stop from the sliding window trough.
  7. Remove the left transition block from the cable end.

  8. Disconnect the swag from the power sliding window.
  9. Pull the left cable end out of the sliding window trough.

  10. Repeat Steps  4 through  7 for the right side.
  11. All vehicles 

    NOTE: Power sliding rear window shown, fixed rear window similar.
    NOTE: Removal of the rear window glass requires an assistant to hold the rear window glass as it is pushed out.

  12. From inside the vehicle, pull down on the back window glass weatherstrip. Push back the window glass and back window glass weatherstrip from the back window glass opening.
  13. Remove the weatherstrip from the rear window.
