Removal & Installation (4.0L)

- Remove intake manifold. See REMOVAL & INSTALLATION (4.0L) under INTAKE MANIFOLD under AIR INDUCTION SYSTEMS. Disconnect fuel line. See FUEL LINE CONNECTORS . Disconnect 6 fuel injector connectors.
- Remove 4 bolts from fuel injection supply manifold and discard. See Fig 1. Disconnect fuel pulse damper vacuum hose. Remove fuel injection supply manifold. Remove fuel injectors. To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
CAUTION:
Use "O" rings made of fuel-resistant material. Use of ordinary "O" rings can cause fuel system to leak. DO NOT reuse "O" rings.
NOTE:
Lubricate NEW "O" rings with clean engine oil. Use NEW fasteners to attach fuel injection supply manifold.
