Removal & Installation

- Remove spare tire. Disconnect negative battery cable. Raise and support vehicle. Disconnect EVAP canister purge outlet tube and harness connector. Remove nuts and bolt retaining EVAP canister bracket assembly and remove EVAP canister bracket assembly. Disconnect hoses and connectors. Remove canister vent solenoid. Remove EVAP canister purge sleeve.
- To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . Ensure EVAP system does not leak. Perform after repair procedure. See AFTER REPAIR PROCEDURE .
CAUTION:
Use "O" rings made of fuel-resistant material. Use of ordinary "O" rings can cause fuel system to leak. DO NOT reuse "O" rings.
NOTE:
Lubricate NEW "O" rings with clean engine oil to aid installation.
