Window Glass - Front Door: Removal

WARNING:
Always wear safety glasses and gloves when handling glass to avoid personal injury.
- Remove the front door trim panel (23942); for additional information, refer to INTERIOR TRIM AND ORNAMENTATION .
- Remove the front door belt line inside weatherstrip.
- Remove the rear glass channel bolt, and lift the channel.
- Lower the window glass to gain access to the two glass bracket retaining rivets.
- Remove the center pins from the rivets, using a drift. Using a 1/4-inch diameter drill, drill out the remainder of the rivets.
- Lift up and rotate the front door window glass clockwise, and remove.
CAUTION:
Do not attempt to pry out the rivets, as damage to the front door window glass can result. Prior to removing the rivet center pins, it is recommended that a suitable block support be placed between the front door outer panel and the glass bracket to stabilize the glass during rivet removal.
