Fluid CAUTION: MERCON®, MERCON®V and MERCON®SP are not interchangeable transmission fluids. Use of any fluid other than the recommended fluid may cause transmission damage. Refer to the FLUID LEVEL INDICATOR for the type of transmission fluid required. The transmission fluid should be changed every 48,000 km (30,000 miles) regardless of normal or special operating conditions.
