Removal and Installation

  1. Remove the turbocharger. For additional information, refer to TURBOCHARGER .
  2. Remove the plug and drain the oil filter assembly and tubes.

  3. Disconnect the wiring push-pin retainer.

  4. Remove the bolt and retaining clamp at the oil filter adapter.

  5. Remove the bolt and retaining clamp at the oil filter assembly.

  6. NOTE: Use care not to bend the tubes, when removing the oil filter tubes.

  7. Remove the bolt and retaining clamp. Remove the oil filter tubes.
  8. Remove the bolts and turbocharger pedestal.

  9. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
    • Inspect the O-ring seals for the oil filter tube ends, replace as necessary.
    • Check and top off the engine oil after the engine is running.
