Throttle Body: Installation

All engines

Install a new TB gasket, position the TB and tighten the four bolts in two stages.
- Stage 1: Tighten to 9 Nm (80 lb-in).
- Stage 2: Tighten an additional 90 degrees.

5.4L engines equipped with a heated TB
Connect the coolant hoses.

Fill and bleed the engine cooling system. For additional information, refer to ENGINE COOLING .

All engines

Connect the TP sensor electrical connector.
- Push back the red clip.

Connect the electronic throttle body (TB) electrical connector.
- Push back the red clip.

Install the air cleaner assembly and air cleaner outlet tube. For additional information, refer to INTAKE AIR DISTRIBUTION & FILTERING .
Connect the battery ground cable. For additional information, refer to BATTERY, MOUNTING AND CABLES .
