Fuel Rail: Installation

- Install the fuel injectors in the fuel rail.
- Install the fuel rail and the four bolts.
- Connect the evaporative emission (EVAP) canister purge valve hose.
- Install the EGR valve tube. Tighten the fittings in two stages starting with the lower fitting.
- Stage 1: Hand tighten.
- Stage 2: Tighten to 50 Nm (37 lb-ft).
- Connect the differential pressure feedback EGR sensor hoses.
- Install the EGR valve tube. Tighten the fittings in two stages, starting with the lower fitting.
- Stage 1: Hand tighten.
- Stage 2: Tighten to 40 Nm (30 lb-ft).
- Install the crankcase ventilation tube.
- Connect the eight fuel injector electrical connectors.
- Connect the fuel rail pressure (FRP) sensor vacuum hose and the electrical connector.
- Reposition the transmission fluid indicator and tube. Install the retaining bolt.
- Install the retaining nut for the transmission fluid indicator and tube.
- Connect the fuel line. For additional information, refer to FUEL SYSTEM-GENERAL INFORMATION .
- Install the engine cover. For additional information refer to INTERIOR TRIM AND ORNAMENTATION .
- Connect the battery ground cable. For additional information, refer to BATTERY, MOUNTING AND CABLES .

Lubricate the new O-ring seals with clean engine oil to aid installation.
