Removal & Installation

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 Mercury Cougar and 2002 Ford Escape. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Remove the front bumper cover. Disconnect the front oil cooler tube. See Fig 1 . Disconnect and remove the front cooler tube. See Fig 2 .
  2. Disconnect the rear cooler tube. See Fig 3 . Remove the rear transaxle cooler tube bracket bolt and the cooler tube. See Figure .
  3. Lower the vehicle. Disconnect and remove the integral-to-auxiliary cooler tube. See Fig 4 . To install, reverse the removal procedure.
