NOTE: Check vehicle for any driveability symptoms in gasoline mode. Repair any driveability symptoms in gasoline mode before diagnosing ALT fuel system. Refer to INTRODUCTION - CNG, FLEX-FUEL & GASOLINE .

NOTE: If a Stalls After Start condition exists in ALT fuel and the base gasoline system has sufficient fuel, diagnose for a No- Start/Hard Start ALT Fuel- ALT fuel switch indicator is on then off, GO to AC .

Additional Checks: Correct PCM vehicle identification (VID) block information. Refer to FLASH ELECTRICALLY ERASABLE PROGRAMMABLE READ ONLY MEMORY - FLASH EEPROM . Drivelines Charging System A/C System (for surge with A/C on) Speed control system (for surge with speed control on) A/C compressor diode, if equipped (for rolling idle) Be aware of engine rpm/speed limiting functions of the PCM (look for incorrect high vehicle speed signal)	Refer to the appropriate service information article.
