Oil Pan: Removal

- With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to JACKING & LIFTING .
- Disconnect the battery ground cable, For additional information, refer to BATTERY, MOUNTING AND CABLES .
- Remove the engine cover. For additional information, refer to INTERIOR TRIM AND ORNAMENTATION .
- Remove the cooling fan stator. For additional information, refer to ENGINE COOLING .
- Remove the A/C compressor. For additional information, refer to HEATING & VENTILATION .
- Remove the power steering pump upper mounting bolt.
- Remove the LH fan stator stand-off.
- Remove the bolts and position the power steering pump aside.
- Remove the oil pan drain plug.
- Loosen the exhaust pipe retaining nuts.
- Remove the motor mount retaining nuts.
- Remove the RH fan stator stand-off. Remove the bolt and position the cable aside.
- Install the special tools.
- Install the engine lifting attachment and floor crane.
- Raise the engine.
- Remove the bolts and position back the oil pan until the oil pick up tube bolts are accessible.
- Remove the bolts and let the oil pick-up tube go into the oil pan. Remove the oil pan.
- Remove and discard the oil pick-up tube O-ring seal.
- Remove the press-in-place gasket and discard.
- Clean and inspect the sealing surfaces.
NOTE:
The front bolt will remain in the power steering pump.
