Oil Pan: Removal

With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to JACKING & LIFTING .
Disconnect the battery ground cable, For additional information, refer to BATTERY, MOUNTING AND CABLES .
Remove the engine cover. For additional information, refer to INTERIOR TRIM AND ORNAMENTATION .
Remove the cooling fan stator. For additional information, refer to ENGINE COOLING .
Remove the A/C compressor. For additional information, refer to HEATING & VENTILATION .
Remove the power steering pump upper mounting bolt.

Remove the LH fan stator stand-off.

NOTE: The front bolt will remain in the power steering pump.

Remove the bolts and position the power steering pump aside.
Remove the oil pan drain plug.

Loosen the exhaust pipe retaining nuts.

Remove the motor mount retaining nuts.
Remove the RH fan stator stand-off. Remove the bolt and position the cable aside.

Install the special tools.

Install the engine lifting attachment and floor crane.

CAUTION: Use care when raising the engine to avoid engine or body damage

Raise the engine.

NOTE: Engine removed for clarity.

Remove the bolts and position back the oil pan until the oil pick up tube bolts are accessible.
Remove the bolts and let the oil pick-up tube go into the oil pan. Remove the oil pan.

Remove and discard the oil pick-up tube O-ring seal.

Remove the press-in-place gasket and discard.
- Clean and inspect the sealing surfaces.
