Output Shaft Speed Sensor

Output Shaft Speed (OSS) sensor is a magnetic pick-up that sends turbine shaft speed signal to TCM. Turbine shaft speed is determined by monitoring reverse drum speed. Malfunction of sensor may cause harsh engagements of shifts. Lack of 4th gear or no engine braking in 2nd or 3rd gear may also be present.
