F-Series Super Duty: Notes
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2004 Ford Pickup, 2004 Ford F550 Super Duty, 2004 Ford F450 Super Duty, 2004 Ford Excursion, and 2004 Ford Cab & Chassis. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
WARNING:
The child safety seat tether anchor/bolt MUST be securely tightened to specification. Otherwise, the child safety seat may not be correctly secured and the child could be injured if the vehicle is involved in a collision or stops suddenly.
If you have a SuperCab or Crew Cab, Ford recommends you attach child safety seats in the rear seating position (if possible) with a tether strap attached to the tether anchor bracket as shown in the instructions provided with the child safety seat.
Any child safety seat tether anchor in use during a collision must be inspected and installed new if damaged. Rework the sheet metal to its original condition and structural integrity. Refer to the appropriate REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION procedure.
