Rear Window Glass: Removal

Regular and Crew Cab vehicles
- Remove the rear trim panels. Refer to

SuperCab vehicles
- Remove the child safety seat tether anchors. Refer to SAFETY BELT SYSTEM .
- Remove the rear corner trim panels. Refer to

Vehicles with power sliding window
- Remove the left cable swag from the power sliding window.
- Remove the left transition block from the sliding window trough.
- Remove the left transition block from the cable end.
- Pull the left cable end out of the sliding window trough.
- Repeat steps 4 through 6 for the right side.
All vehicles
- From inside the vehicle, pull down on the back window glass weatherstrip. Push back the window glass and back window glass weatherstrip from the back window glass opening.
- Remove the weatherstrip from the rear window.
- Remove all traces of butyl from the window glass opening, the rear window glass opening and the rear window weatherstrip.

Power sliding rear window shown, fixed rear window is similar.
NOTE:
Removal of the rear window glass requires an assistant to hold the rear window glass as it is pushed out.
