Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) Valve - 5.4L (2V): Removal

  1. Remove the air cleaner outlet tube. Refer to INTAKE AIR DISTRIBUTION & FILTERING .
  2. Remove the exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) valve-to-exhaust manifold tube.
    1. Remove the two differential pressure feedback EGR sensor hoses.
    2. Disconnect the EGR valve tube fittings.

  3. Disconnect the EGR valve vacuum hose.

  4. Remove the two bolts and the EGR valve.
    • Discard the gasket.
