Supply Manifold: Removal

WARNING:
Do not smoke or carry lighted tobacco or open flame of any type when working on or near any fuel-related components. Highly flammable mixtures are always present and can be ignited, resulting in possible personal injury.
WARNING:
Fuel in the fuel system remains under high pressure even when the engine is not running.
WARNING:
Before working on or disconnecting any of the fuel lines or fuel system components, the fuel system pressure must be relieved.
- Relieve the fuel system pressure. Refer to FUEL SYSTEM-GENERAL INFORMATION - GASOLINE & DIESEL .
- Disconnect the battery ground cable (14301).
- Disconnect the vacuum hose from the pressure regulator.
- Remove the fuel line tether clamps.
- Using the (1) and (2) spring lock coupling disconnect tools, disconnect the fuel lines. Refer to FUEL SYSTEM-GENERAL INFORMATION - GASOLINE & DIESEL .
- Remove and discard the four fuel line O-ring seals.
- Disconnect the four RH fuel injector electrical connectors.
- Disconnect the four LH fuel injector electrical connectors.
- Remove the crankcase vent connector and hose.
- If equipped, disconnect the exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) components.
- Loosen the nut at the exhaust manifold.
- Disconnect the EGR transducer hoses.
- Disconnect the EGR tube at the EGR valve and rotate tube out of the way.
- Disconnect the EGR vacuum hose.
- Disconnect the vapor management valve hose.
- Remove the four bolts retaining the fuel injection supply manifold.
- Lift the (1) fuel injection supply manifold and remove the (2) fuel injectors.
- Remove and discard the two O-ring seals from the fuel injectors.
- Shift and remove the fuel injection supply manifold.
