Oil Pump: Installation

Clean and inspect the mating surfaces.
Position the oil pump and loosely install the bolts.
Tighten the bolts in the sequence shown.

CAUTION: The oil pump must be primed prior to starting the engine.

Install the oil pan. Refer to OIL PAN - AUTOMATED EQUIPMENT or OIL PAN - MANUAL TRANSMISSION .
Install the LH timing chain guide and the timing chains. Refer to TIMING DRIVE COMPONENTS .
