Removal and Installation

All vehicles 

  1. Remove the power steering fluid reservoir cap and siphon the power steering fluid from the reservoir.

    Vehicles with 5.4L and 6.8L engine 

  2. Remove the 2 reservoir retaining screws and position the reservoir to gain access to the hoses.

    All vehicles 

  3. Disconnect the hoses.

    Vehicles with 6.0L manual transmission 

  4. Separate the clutch hydraulic reservoir from the power steering reservoir and position aside.

    Vehicles with 6.0L engine 

  5. Remove the pushpin.
    • Slide the reservoir toward the engine to detach the reservoir from the bracket and remove the reservoir.

    All vehicles 

  6. NOTE: The reservoir hoses are marked to show the correct location and orientation. Make sure that the hoses are correctly installed to the reservoir.
  7. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
