Removal and Installation

    FRONT AND REAR 

    NOTE: Front headliner must be removed to remove rear headliner.
  1. Remove the visor and visor attaching clips. For additional information, refer to VISOR - SUN  .
  2. Remove the A-pillar trim panel. For additional information, refer to A-PILLAR TRIM PANEL  .
  3. NOTE: Inspect the shoulder safety belt guide cover for damage. If the shoulder safety belt guide cover is damaged or if it does not remain closed, install a new shoulder safety belt guide.

  4. Remove the front shoulder safety belt guide cover.
  5. Remove the shoulder safety belt guide.
    1. Remove the shoulder safety belt guide nut.
    2. Remove the shoulder safety belt guide.

  6. On a rear safety belt retractor and tongue with a flip-up shoulder safety belt guide cover, remove the shoulder safety belt guide.
    1. Lift the shoulder safety belt guide cover.
    2. Use the Safety Belt Bolt Torx Bit to remove the bolt.
    3. Remove the shoulder safety belt guide.

  7. On a rear safety belt retractor and tongue without a flip-up shoulder safety belt guide cover, remove the shoulder safety belt guide.
    1. Position the shoulder safety belt cover aside.
    2. Use the Safety Belt Bolt Torx Bit to remove the bolt.
    3. Remove the shoulder safety belt guide.

  8. If equipped, remove the screw and the overhead console.
    • Disconnect the electrical connectors.

  9. REAR 

  10. If equipped, remove the screws and the video display.
    • Disconnect the electrical connectors.

  11. FRONT AND REAR 

  12. Remove the upper rear body side trim panel.
    1. Remove the pushpins.
    2. Remove the upper rear trim panel.

  13. Remove the upper front body side trim panel.
    1. Remove the screw.
    2. Remove the upper front trim panel.

  14. Remove the window latches, if equipped.
    1. Remove the two screws.
    2. Remove the window latch.

  15. Remove the left and right center body pillar upper finish panels.
    • Pull at the top of the center body pillar upper finish panel and work downward.

  16. Remove the first row of pushpins fastening the front headliner.

  17. Pull the front headliner from underneath the front door opening weatherstrips.
  18. Remove the front headliner from the vehicle.

  19. Disconnect the wire harness at the B-pillar.
  20. REAR 

  21. Remove the coat hooks.
    1. Remove the screw.
    2. Remove the coat hook.

  22. Remove the rear safety belt tongue and retractor assemblies upper attachments. For additional information, refer to SAFETY BELT SYSTEM .
  23. Remove the sliding door upper roller hinge trim cover, if equipped with the sliding door.
    1. Remove the screw.
    2. Remove the upper roller hinge trim cover.

  24. Open the sliding door and loosen the sliding door upper garnish moulding, if so equipped.
  25. NOTE: LH upper front body side trim panel shown. RH side similar.

  26. Remove the upper body side trim panels at the headliner.
  27. Remove the rear cargo lamp. For additional information, refer to INTERIOR LIGHTING .
    • Disconnect the electrical connector at the B-pillar.
  28. Remove the rear headliner attaching pushpins.

  29. Pull the headliner from underneath the door opening weatherstrips.
  30. FRONT AND REAR 

  31. Remove the headliner from the vehicle.

  32. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
